Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 12/23/2025 at 3:45PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jaleesa Jackson conducted an Announced Case Management visit for a room addition and capacity increase and met with Licensee Amirh Davis. Licensee requested a capacity increase for her preschool program ages 2 years old to First Grade Entry (capacity 18) and a room change for her toddler option ages 1.5 to 3 years old (capacity 6). The license would have a total capacity of 24 children. LPA Jackson toured the new toddler room and observed that all changes from the 10/22/2025 visit have been made. There were no hazardous materials, items, or surfaces observed. The changing table area is clean and within arms reach of a sink. The Contra Costa Fire Protection District has approved the new room and increase for child care use on 10/15/2025. LPA conducted measurements for the indoor area for the new toddler room. The total toddler classroom space contains a total of 222 square feet, which will accommodate Licensee's request for 6 toddlers in the new room. The total preschool classroom space remains unchanged from the original measurements of a total of 782.42 square feet, which will accommodate Licensee's request for 18 preschool children. Two waivers were granted for the outdoor space. The waivers shall be posted for public view. Increase of capacity and room has been approved 12/23/2025. Report was reviewed and a notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with the Licensee Amirh Davis.
