What the inspector wrote

On 09/18/2023 at 2:50 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Christina Watts and Ashley Akinleye conducted an Case Management Inspection at Kensington L'Academy Language Immersion PS - Infant. LPA was greeted by Interim Director, Eva Poon and granted access to facility. During today's inspection, there were 10 infant children with 3 staff in two classrooms. Director stated there were 10 infants enrolled. All staff caring and supervising children have Criminal Record Clearance. LPAs are following up on infant play yard that was made off limits due to multiple sightings of rodent droppings and humane traps that were accessible to children in care. LPA inspection the infant outdoor play yard and LPAs did not observe any rodent droppings on the walkway. LPAs did observe humane traps however they are not accessible to children during outdoor play. Director stated they are working with the building owner of the pizzeria located next door to facility to ensure that there will be no signs of rodents or rodent dropping. Director also stated they have a cleaning company that comes in the morning before the facility opens to clean the infant indoor and outdoor areas. As of 09/18/2023, the infant outdoor play area is back on limits for infant's outdoor activity. During today's inspection, there were no violations observation. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director, Eva Poon. A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 consecutive days.
