Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cherie Acosta conducted an unannounced case management inspection. LPA met licensee Janelle Iniguez. The purpose of the inspection was to ensure compliance with AB 2866 pool safety requirements. LPA observed the pool to be surrounded with a mesh fence. There is a self closing gate that opens away from the pool. LPA observed a life ring with a 20 inch diameter and United States Coast Guard approval label. Licensee has a rescue pole with a body hook that is bolted to a fixed length of 15 feet 9 inches. Licensee is conducting daily pool inspections and maintains a log to ensure compliance with pool safety requirements. LPA observed a pool alarm that sounds upon detecting movement in the pool. The alarm is in compliant with ASTM International Standard F2208. Notice of Site Visit was provided and must be posted for 30 days. Exit interview and report reviewed with Janelle Iniguez.
