What the inspector wrote

On August 20,2025 at 9:45 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Kayla Merchant and Cherie Acosta conducted an unannounced case management inspection. The purpose of the inspection was to ensure compliance with AB2866 pool safety requirements. LPAs met with Golpar Nosrati. Also present today is the licensee's fingerprint cleared husband and assistant. There are 4 infants and 5 preschoolers present during today's inspection. During the inspection LPAs observed a pool without a enclosure that fully isolates the pool from the home which does not meet the requirements specified in Health and Safety Code 1596.814 and a Type B violation is being cited today. Licensee has a pool alarm, a rescue pole and life ring that is United States Coast Guard approved that meet the requirements specified in Health and Safety Code 1596.814 that was observed and checked during a previous visit on 6/20/25. LPA observed a notebook where the daily drowning prevention inspections were logged. See 809-D for deficiency cited today. Notice of Site Visit was provided and must be posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report reviewed licensee.
