What the inspector wrote
On 06/24/2025, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Kareeca "Reeca" Sykes and Jamel Maiwandi, conducted a Case Management - Licensee initiated inspection. Licensee has applied for a Capacity Increase from a Small FCCH (Max CAP 8) to a Large FCCH (max CAP 12 OR 14). LPA's met with licensee and guided analysts on a tour of the facility. Present during today's inspection were the licensee. All Family living in the home are the licensee and the licensee's minor child. No daycare children were present during today's inspection. The home was toured with the licensee to conduct a health and safety inspection.
Days and hours of operation will be Monday \342\200\223 Friday from 8AM - 6PM.
The home is one story home that consist of 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, converted garage and a fully fenced backyard.
ON LIMITS:
Living room, Dining room, Kitchen,Bathroom, Bedroom 3 (to the left of the bathroom), the converted garage, and fully fenced backyard.
OFF Limits:
Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 2 which will be inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors, gates, and 100% visual supervision

The isolation area
will be in the living room away from other children in care.
LPAs did not observe any toxins, medications or hazardous items that would be accessible to children. There is centralized heating. The applicant stated there are no pets or firearms on the premises.

The LPA's toured all areas used by children during this visit. Per Inspector Will Pigozzo all inspected areas were approved as of 05/22/2025.
The home is equipped with a fully charged 4A80BC fire extinguisher, working smoke alarm, working carbon monoxide detector, telephone, and first aid supplies. The applicant has current CPR and First Aid training which expires on 2/2027. Mandated Reporter Training is current and expires 2/11/2027.
Applicant was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
The applicant provided proof of control of property. Because the applicant rents/leases the home, proof of landlord notification is required. The LPAs observed the Property Owner/Landlord Notification form (LIC9151) that the applicant confirms was provided to the property owner/landlord. The applicant obtained a signed Property Owner/Landlord Consent form (LIC 9149).

LPAs discussed the safe sleep regulations with applicant and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at:

, as an additional resource. LPAs also informed applicant of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at:

, and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
On this date, 04/18/2025, the California Attorney General - Megan\342\200\231s Law website was searched for information on sex offenders required to register with local law enforcement under California's Megan's Law. No registered sex offenders were found at the facility addresses. Under state law, some registered sex offenders are not subject to public disclosure; therefore, they may not have been included in this search. However, the Department conducts a monthly cross reference of each address on record for all registered sex offenders against all CCLD facility addresses pursuant to information shared by California DOJ.
Applicant was informed of the
MyChildCarePlan.org
site, a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
As of 6/24/2025, licensee is approved for increase capacity of a Large Family Childcare Home with max capacity of 14 children.
Exit interview conducted, appeal rights were given, and report was reviewed with the licensee, Kre'Anna Braggs. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 consecutive days.
