What the inspector wrote

On December 9, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Indira Loza met with Licensee Vianey Nunez for an Unannounced Random Inspection and a Capacity Increase for a large family daycare. Present during the inspection were one infant and six preschoolers in care and the Licensee. Residing in the home is Licensee, her husband and two adult daughters. All adults have a fingerprint clearance. The Licensee\342\200\231s home was toured for a health and safety inspection. The facility operates 6:00am \342\200\223 8:00pm, Monday - Friday. The home is a single family house consisting of two bedrooms, one bathroom, a garage converted into a living space, and a fully fenced in backyard. The Off Limit Areas are the kitchen, converted garage and both bedrooms. The off limits areas are made inaccessible by gate, closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision. The On Limit Areas are the living room, dining room, bathroom, and the backyard. Isolation Area - in the dining room The inside and outside of the home were observed to be neat, clean with age-appropriate materials and toys for the children. All toxins, cleaning products, medications, and hazardous materials were observed to be in inaccessible areas. There is a wall heater in the hallway which is covered to prevent children access. The fireplace located in the living room is also covered. Licensee stated there are no firearms in the home. LPA did not observe a body of water in or around home. The home has a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher located in the kitchen and a working combined smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector located in the living room. Licensee has a working telephone, and all required forms are posted and visible for public view at the entrance of the daycare. The Licensee's CPR and First Aid certificate is current and expires on 2/2/26. The Licensee was reminded of the responsibility as a mandated reporter and has provided proof of the required training for all people caring for children which was conducted on 3/28/26. LPA reviewed five children\342\200\231s files and the licensee's file which were all complete. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee [or facility representative] of the importance of checking for and removing any recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. During the exit interview, the Licensee Vianey Nunez confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. A license for a large family daycare is being granted effective today, December 9, 2025. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
