Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On January 29, 2026 at 1:10 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kayla Merchant met with Director, Julia Wolfe to conduct a Plan of Correction (POC) inspection for the Lead Testing results at Holding Hands Montessori. During the inspection on 4/2/2025, the facility was cited for a lead exceedance. At that time, the facility was exclusively using bottled water for drinking and washing fruits and veggies. The facility had already completed a three week flush and the faucet was retested on 4/1/25. The POC was for the director to submit the new test results to licensing by 4/30/2025. On 4/22/2025, the director submitted the results, however, the faucet still had an exceedance. In addition to the test results, the director also submitted a modified POC that includes the permanent use of bottled water only for consumption and washing of fruit and veggies. No food is prepared at the facility as children bring their meals from home. During today's inspection, LPA observed a 5 gallon water bottle on a dispenser and the faucet was still labeled as "Do Not Consume". LPA has cleared the POC. Exit interview was conducted and the report was reviewed with the director, Julia Wolfe. Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
