On Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM, Centralized Application Bureau (CAB) Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Caroline Colson met with Applicant Samar Shakalia and Admissions Director, Deborah Molloy for a case management inspection to add 12 children to a new Toddler Component from 18 months to 36 months and a decrease in capacity for the Preschool Component from 92 to 80 children. CAB LPA Colson measured one (1) Toddler classroom to obtain measurements. A health and safety inspection in all areas accessible to children was conducted. The program will operate Monday through Fridays from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Physical Plant : The Toddler Component has 1 classroom and 1 designated outdoor play area. There are restrooms for children and staff. There is adequate heating, lighting, and ventilation. There are no cleaning solutions, chemicals, or other hazards accessible to children. Per Applicant, there are no weapons at the facility. Classrooms: Furniture and equipment are age appropriate and in good repair. There are separate storage areas for children\342\200\231s belongings. Drinking water will be provided in pitchers and cups will be provided for all children. Children do take naps at the facility. Parents will provide all sheets. There are 12 cots available for the children. Staff will sanitize cots every week. The facility provides two snacks. Please See LIC 809 C for Additional Information Restrooms: Toilets and sinks are operable. There is soap, toilet paper and paper towels for sanitary use. Classroom measurements: LPA measured one (1) classroom for the Toddler Component. The total indoor measurements for care and supervision is 531.54 square feet which will accommodate Applicant's request for 12 Toddler children. There are eight (8) toilets, and seven (7) sinks for all children. The director's office will be the isolation area. The second staff bathroom will be the isolation bathroom. Outdoor Activity Space: The play area is fenced with walls at least 4 ft high. The play area has cushioning material underneath all outdoor climbing equipment. There are no bodies of water on the premises. Children have access to drinking water and will use their cups or their own labeled water bottles. The total outdoor play area measurements for the Toddler Component is 1,512.46 square feet which will accommodate Applicant's request for 12 children. Applicant will need to submit a new LIC 200 A. 2. A follow up inspection will need to be conducted to re-evaluate the Preschool Component. 3. Applicant will submit an updated facility sketch. Once the department has received all corrections, the facility will be licensed.
