Facility-requested visit·February 3, 2026

On February 3, 2026 at 01:00PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Nyeesha Blount conducted an unannounced case management visit for capacity increase. LPA met with Applicant Perez, Sarahith and assistant who is background cleared (6) children were present during today's inspection. LPA toured the home with Applicant for a Health and Safety inspection. Applicant has applied for a Capacity Increase from a Small Family Child Care Home with capacity of (8) children to Large capacity for (14) children. Days and hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Applicant has current Pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid that will expire on August 8, 2027. Applicant has a fully stocked first aid kit. Applicant has current mandated reporter training which expires on March 24, 2027. Applicant owns this property. Isolation Area of sick child will be in the kitchen. Applicant understands that 100% supervision is required at all times and assistant will be needed to care for Large Family Day Care. Applicant has an approved fire clearance dated 01/29/26 from El Cerrito Fire Department Inspector Thomas Peters. Fire clearance is approved for 14 children, no special conditions listed. LPA observed that the day care has sufficient space, lighting, ventilation and an ample supply of age appropriate toys, activities and furniture. The facility has a functioning centralized fire system, carbon monoxide detector, (1) fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher. ON LIMIT AREAS: will be living room, (1) bedroom, (1) bathroom, and garage (day care room) OFF LIMIT AREAS: will be kitchen, (2) bedrooms, (1) bathroom, secured with latches and gates made inaccessible to children in care. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Licensee was reminded about importance to stay in compliance with mandated reporter training and maintenance of sleep logs for all infants in care .
