What the inspector wrote

On April 29, 2025 at 01:00PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Nyeesha Blount conducted an announced case management visit for change of location. LPA met with Applicant Boyd, Meesha who is background cleared no children was present during today's inspection. LPA toured the entire home with Applicant for a Health and Safety inspection. Applicant has applied for a Change of Location for a Large Family Child Care Home with capacity for 14 children. Days and hours of operation will be Monday through Friday 7AM to 6PM. The home is a One story home which consist of Kitchen, Living room, Dining room, (4) bedrooms, (2) bathroom, (1) linen closet and hall closet, fenced backyard and garage. Applicant has current Pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid that will expire on 04/2026. Applicant has a fully stocked first aid kit. Applicant mandated reporter training which expired on February 2025. Applicant currently owns the property. Applicant stated there are no weapons in the home. Isolation of sick child will be in the living room on the couch. Applicant understands that 100% supervision is required at all times. The home is neat and clean and has central heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. LPA observed that the home has sufficient lighting and an ample supply of age appropriate toys, activities and furniture. The facility has a functioning carbon monoxide detector, (1) fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, wired smoke detector. All required postings are posted in the entrance of the home. ON LIMIT AREAS: will be living room, dining room, (1) bedroom, (1) bathroom and fenced back yard. OFF LIMIT AREAS: will be Kitchen, (3) bedrooms, (1) bathroom, closet and garage secured with gates made inaccessible to children in care. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regularly sends information to licensed facilities, providers, and stakeholders by way of Provider Information Notices (PIN), Program Quarterly Update Newsletters and other important information communication platform. To receive important licensed-related information to licensed facilities, visit the CCLD Important Information website at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/community-care-licensing/subscribe and select the Child Care option to receive email communication. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. During the exit interview, the LICENSEE Boyd, Meesha confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Licensee was reminded about importance to stay in compliance with mandated reporter training and maintenance of sleep logs for all infants in care . No Deficiencies were cited during today's inspection. Licensed effective 04/29/25.
