Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On Monday, February 6, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Amanda Sutter met with Director Trish Roberts to deliver findings regarding the above allegation. LPA observed 7 children supervised by 3 staff. It was alleged that staff did not adequately supervise children in care. Throughout the course of the investigation, LPA conducted interviews, obtained documents, observed recorded classroom footage, and observed the facility. LPA observed children to be supervised in each classroom and the restroom area. The incident was alleged to occur on the playground on Halloween. On this day, director stated that the children were on a modified schedule due to holiday activities and did a cookie decorating activity in lieu of time on the playground. There are no video cameras in the playground area. It could not be determined that staff did not adequately supervise children in care, therefore, the above allegation is determined to be UNSUBSTANTIATED, meaning that although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove it. An exit interview was conducted. Appeal rights were provided. A notice of site visit was provided and shall remain posted for 30 days.
