Facility-requested visit·July 16, 2024

On July 16th, 2024, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Soleil Marx and Erwina Pascual-Golamco met with Facility Representative, Jenny Pettit, for a licensee initiated case management inspection. The purpose of today's inspection was for a room change to add on a portable classroom. The capacity will remain the same as previously at 103 children. This facility has waivers on file for shared restroom and outdoor activity space. Fire clearance was granted by South Lake Tahoe Fire Prevention on 05/03/2024. LPAs conducted a health and safety inspection of the new portable and observed it to be safe, in good, repair, and have a sufficient amount of tables, chairs, toys, and materials for children. LPAs measured the portable to be 705.43 Square feet. The portable has 3 sinks and 2 toilets available for children to utilize. The portable building is brand new factory constructed in 2024, therefore lead testing is not required. The total square footage for the classrooms is 4313.96 s quare feet ; C5=855sq, C6=891.75sq, C7=745.28sq, C8=1116.5sq and portable=705.43sq which will accommodate 103 preschool children. (Measurements for C5,C6,C7,C8 were used from the original pre-licensing inspections.) LPAs measured the outdoor activity space to be 9610.59 square feet, which will accommodate the facilities capacity of 103. LPAs observed the outdoor play area is fenced and equipped with a sufficient amount of play equipment and toys. LPA observed equipment is in good repair, there is an adequate amount of shading provided, and there is a sufficient amount of resilient material underneath climbing structures to absorb a fall. Effective today, 07/16/2024, this facility is approved to utilize the portable building, in addition to already licensed classrooms C5, C6, C7, C8 for a maximum capacity of 103 children. Exit interview conducted and report reviewed with Facility Representative. A notice of site visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days.
