Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On May 15, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Soleil Marx, met with Director Resa Aldrich, for the purpose of conducting an unannounced licensee initiated case management inspection. The facility has requested to add an outdoor activity space exclusive to infants. The infant outdoor activity is in addition to the pre-existing infant/toddler option outdoor activity space. The toddler option yard will still be utilized by infants within their pre-existing shared space waiver. LPA measured the infant yard and toddler option yard using the capacity worksheet. The infant yard measured 520.47 square feet which will not accommodate the licensed capacity of 12 infants. The facility will request a insufficient space waiver to utilize the infant outdoor activity space on a rotating schedule with a maximum of six infants per rotation. The toddler yard measured 1552 square feet, which will accommodate the licensed capacity of 12 toddlers. LPA observed the new infant outdoor activity space is fully enclosed by a fence that is at least four feet tall, is free of hazards and in safe condition for children to utilize. LPA observed equipment and activities are arranged so that there is no hazard from conflicting activities. LPA observed shaded areas are available to children. LPA observed the yard has a turf ground surface and there are no high structures within the space. The infant play yard will be approved for utilizing pending the following: Insufficient space waiver request with schedule showing at least 2 rotations of six infants Updated shared space waiver schedule for toddler outdoor activity space No deficiencies were cited. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
