What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Erwina Pascual-Golamco, met with Licensee, Tiffany Taylor, for an unannounced annual inspection. During the inspection there was a census of 11 CHILDREN being supervised by the licensee and two staff. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. Facility hours of operation are M-Th 7:30am -5:30pm . Health and safety inspection were conducted in the areas accessible to children. The off-limit areas include: living/dining room, kitchen, all bedrooms, storage shed, and horse pasture. Licensee understands that children may never enter these off-limits areas. The house has a working telephone, fully charged fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector that meet regulations. LPA observed all required postings. LPA observed home was orderly, and free of hazards. LPA informed the licensee that poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and other items which could pose a danger to children shall be stored, locked, and inaccessible to children. LPA observed an electric fireplace in the home and is also made inaccessible to children. The licensee stated that there are no firearms and bodies of water on the premises. LPA observed a children's roster and fire drill log, which was last conducted on 2/2/23. Licensee has current CPR/First aid, which expires 5/1/23 . Licensee\342\200\231s Mandated Reporter Training expires April 2025 . Licensee understands both trainings must be completed every two years. LPA reviewed records of children\342\200\231s files, all which contained the required documentation. continued... continuation... Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. The following information regarding ADA was provided: US Department of Justice (USDOJ) toll-free ADA Information Line at (800) 514-0301 (voice)/ (800) 514-0383 (TTY) and link to publication: Commonly Asked Questions about Child Care Centers and the ADA, available at: http://www.ada.gov/childqanda.htm Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPA encourage the licensee to frequently visit our website at www.ccld.ca.gov for licensing regulations and new updates. Licensee is aware of and/or practicing safe sleep regulations. Safe Sleep (ca.gov) Licensee stated that she does not currently provide care for infants under 12 months old, and older infants 12-24 months are only in a part time program and leave before nap time (12:30 PM). No deficiencies were cited during today\342\200\231s inspection. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Licensee . A notice of site visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days
