What the inspector wrote

On April 29, 2026, at 1:15pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Sala Vang met with Tiffany Taylor for the purpose of an unannounced required annual inspection. The license has a maximum capacity of 14. Upon arrival, LPA observed there were 11 daycare children including 2 infants during inspection. Licensee Representative was reminded never to exceed the condition, limitations and capacity specified on the license. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. The facilities hours of operation are Facility hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 7:30am -5:30pm. Health and safety inspections were conducted in the areas accessible to children. The off-limit areas include: living/dining room, kitchen, all bedrooms, storage shed, and horse pasture. Licensee acknowledged that children may never enter these off-limit areas. The electric fireplace is barricaded. LPA observed that the facility is in good repair and free of hazards with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. The facility has equipment and age-appropriate materials for children. LPA observed the required documents were posted where visible to parents. LPA observed that there were no hazardous items—such as cleaning compounds, medications, or sharp objects that are accessible to children. The 2A-10-BC fire extinguisher appeared to be in working condition and is accessible. LPA observed the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are functioning. Licensee stated there are no weapons/firearms on the premises. The backyard is fenced, and licensee acknowledged that in areas that are not fenced, 100% supervision is required. LPA did not observe bodies of water on the premises Page 1.....Continue 809-C LPA reviewed licensee records. Licensee currently have: a criminal record clearance, a health screening report, immunization records, current mandate reporter training, and documentation of their educational background, training, and/or experience. Licensee’s CPR/First Aid card expires 4/2027. Licensee’s Mandated Reporter certificate expires 2/2028 . Licensee understands that training must be completed every two years. LPA advised AB1207 Mandate Reporter training must be renewed every two years and can be renewed at www.mandatereporterca.com/california LPA observed children’s roster. LPA reviewed 5 children’s files, which were observed to be complete. LPA observed 15-minute observation checks for napping infants. LPA Observe Assistant checking infant sleep but did not log it in. The facility has a record of conducting fire drills at least every 6 months with the last fire drill being conducted on 1/18/2026. Licensee representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee representative and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep web page at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee representative of the importance of checking for and removing any recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Licensee representative was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. During the exit interview, the Licensee Tiffany Taylor, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. During today’s inspections 2 TV were observed . Due to assistant not logging child sleep log. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
