Facility-requested visit·July 11, 2025

On July 11, 2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Soleil Marx, met with Licensee, Eliza Reed, for the purpose of conducting a licensee initiated case management inspection to change the off-limit areas of the facility. There were no children in care at the time of the inspection. During today's inspection, the Licensee has requested to put the entire backyard on limits to children. LPA observed the pond within the backyard is fenced to meet regulation. Fence is five feet high, made from metal anti climb grid fencing with metal and wood stability poles which do not obscure the pond from view. the bottom and sides of the fence shall comply with Division 1, Appendix Chapter 4 of the 1994 Uniform Building Code. Gate swings away from the pond, self-closes and has a self-latching device located no more than six inches from the top of the gate. LPA observed the backyard is enclosed and free of hazards. LPA observed a trampoline and climbing equipment within the backyard and advised licensee to follow manufacturer instructions for day care children during operating hours. LPA has determined the backyard is safe for day care children and is approved to utilize effective today 07/11/2025. The new off-limit areas include: entire upstairs, crawl space, decking, side fenced animal enclosure. Licensee understands that children may never enter off-limit areas. Off-limit areas of the home are inaccessible by fencing, locked/closed doors, and supervision. Report reviewed with Licensee and exit interview conducted. A notice of Site Visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days.
