What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gagandeep Singh met with the facility representative, Resa Aldrich, for a case management inspection. The facility submitted an application to increase the capacity of preschool children from 12 to 16 and Toddlers from six to ten children in care. An inspection was made on May 13, 2026. During previous inspection, it was found that the facility did not have required indoor space. The facility has made changes to the child care area and requested the department to measure again. During today’s inspection, LPA inspected the facility for health and safety. LPA also measured the preschool classroom and toddler classroom. Based on the measurements, it was found that the preschool has 532.222 square feet of indoor space, which meets the space requirements for 15 children. Toddler classroom has 329.067 square feet of space available for children, which meets the space requirements for capacity of nine toddlers. LPA observed the facility separate bathrooms available for children in preschool and toddler classrooms. Preschool bathroom has one toilet and two sinks. Toddlers classroom has one toilet and one sink. During inspection, facility representative provided an updated application to LPA requesting capacity to increase upto 15 preschool children and nine toddlers. Waiver request of combining classroom during first hour and last hour, and share the play yard was requested. During today’s inspection, LPA did not observe any hazard. After today’s inspection, a fire inspection request will sent to local fire department with updated children quantity numbers. Upon receiving the clearance, the facility’s application will be submitted to Licensing Program Manager for final approval. Copy of this report was reviewed and provided to the facility representative. Notice of site visit was posted and shall remain posted for next 30 days.
