Facility-requested visit·March 18, 2025

On March 18, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Soleil Marx, met with Facility Representative, Kalei Walsh, for the purpose of an unannounced licensee initiated capacity increase case management inspection. This facility has submitted an application requesting a capacity increase from 15 infants to 30 infants, ages 0-24 months. There is one existing infant classroom 1 "baby seeds"; the licensee is adding one additional infant classroom 2 "infant seeds". The facility plans to utilize infant seeds for younger infants and baby seeds classroom for older infants. The fire clearance was granted on 02/10/2025 from South Lake Tahoe Fire Prevention. The existing infant indoor activity space was previously measured as 809.92 square feet . The new classroom contains a measurement of 644.59 square feet. The two infant classroom spaces contain a total of 1454.51 square feet, which will accommodate the requested capacity of 30 infants. There is a total of two sinks; one sink in each infant classroom and two changing tables in each infant classroom within arms reach of the sink. Staff have a separate restroom. No toilets are required for infants. There are a sufficient number of cribs/cots for the requested capacity and each classroom has a designated nap space with transparent half wall dividers. The outdoor activity space was previously measured as 1667.73 square feet. There is a shared space waiver on file for the outdoor activity space for preschool age children and infants to utilize at separate times. The facility has requested to add on an additional outdoor activity space for infants, which measured as 897.75 square feet, bringing the total capacity for outdoor activity space to 2565.48 square feet which will accommodate the requested capacity of 30 infants. The following items are required before a license will be issued: Pictures of infant room 2 "infant seeds" set up with furniture/materials Updated rotating outdoor schedule for shared outdoor activity space Staffing schedule for both infant classrooms including break coverage Final manager review *All pending items must be received by 04/18/2025. Once approved, this facility will be licensed for a capacity of 30 infants ages 0-24 months in classrooms infant seeds and baby seeds. Exit interview conducted and report reviewed with Facility Representative. Notice of Site Visit provided and must remain posted for 30 days.
