What the inspector wrote

On August 30, 2023 Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Paul Garcia conducted an unannounced case management visit and met with site Director Martha Jimenez. A tour of the facility was given, and a census was taken. The purpose of the visit was explained to Licensee. LPA explained the purpose of the visit was to ensure that deficiencies from May 30, 2023 were corrected. Per inspection completed by Paul Garcia and Nancy Her on May 30, 2023, LPA\342\200\231s observed the following violations. \302\267 LPAs observed the outdoor play area shed to have planks that were deteriorated and/or possessed sharp edges. \302\267 LPAs observed staff members doing classroom work during nap time. LPA completed a comprehensive visual observation of all napping areas and observed all staff members actively providing direct constant visual and auditory supervision of sleeping children in care. LPA was informed by director Martha Jimenez that the shed was removed from the outdoor play area. LPA completed a full visual observation and verified that the outdoor play area shed was removed and no longer posses a potential risk to children in care. Capacity and limitations as specified on the license are being maintained. LPA observed and confirmed all children are under supervision, including visual supervision, of a teacher at all times. Facility maintains a ratio of one teacher supervising no more than 12 children in care. LPA observed new play equipment and ensured that the play structure was anchored to the ground and verified other child equipment was staged for future use. Please See 809-C LPA provided Licensee Director Martha Jimenez with technical assistance of the CCLD website and the training's that are available to her and her team. Per Title 22 Division 12 Chapter 3 of the California Code of Regulations no deficiency's are being cited today. Report was read and exit interview was conducted with Director Martha Jimenez. Notice of Site was provided and must be posted for thirty days. Appeal rights were discussed and issued.
