What the inspector wrote

On 03/27/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jose Pe\303\261ate and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Susie Fanning met with Director Megan Tupper for the purpose of a case management inspection. McCord State Preschool is located on the premises of McCord Elementary School. On 3/21/23 a severe winter storm caused a tree located in the preschool playground to uproot and fall on the roof of the preschool classroom. Children were evacuated and the classroom remains inoperable until the tree can be removed and repairs can be made. The estimated timeframe for repairs is 1 month. Licensee, Kings Canyon Joint Unified School District, is requesting a temporary relocation to utilize a classroom at A.L. Conner Elementary located at 222 4 th Street, Orange Cove 93646. A.L. Conner State Preschool (Facility #103808817) is located on site. McCord State Preschool will utilize Room 17 at A.L. Conner Elementary along with the A.L. Conner preschool room, restrooms, and playground. Room 17 does have a regular fire clearance which was obtained through the school district. A fire clearance copy will be given before classroom is utilized. A copy was provided. The preschool operates a full day program Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. Licensee has the necessary furniture, fixtures, equipment, and supplies set up to accommodate the children. The licensed capacity is a total of 24. Appropriate supervision will be provided while children are using the restroom and a staggered schedule will be implemented for use of the playground. There is a water dispenser and reusable water bottles for children to use inside the classroom and on the playground. Lunch will be prepared on site in the cafeteria and delivered to the room. All emergency contact information will be available at the temporary relocation site. All parents have been notified of the temporary closure and address of the relocation site. Director states she will keep Community Care Licensing updated regarding the completion date of repairs. Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, no deficiency is cited during today\342\200\231s visit. Exit interview conducted with Megan Tupper. A Notice of Site Visit was posted on parent board.
