What the inspector wrote

Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, there is deficiency been cited during today\342\200\231s inspection. (See page LIC809-D for additional information). Site Supervisors were provided a copy of appeal rights. A notice of site visit (LIC 9213) was given and must remain posted for 30 days. This report shall be made available to the public upon request. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Site Supervisors Rachel Lick and Brooke Green.

    (a) The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights: (3) To be free from corporal or unusual punishment, infliction of pain, humiliation, intimidation, ridicule, coercion, threat, mental abuse or other actions of a punitive nature including but not limited to: interference with functions of daily living including eating, sleeping or toileting; or withholding of shelter, clothing, medication or aids to physical functioning. This requirement is not met as evidenced by:Through the complaint investigation, there were evidence indicated that staff member handled daycare child in a rough which poses a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to children in care.
