Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 02/06/2026, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Miguel Herrera and Sha Fee Vang conducted an unannounced Case Management Inspection. LPAs met with Director, Tribecca Villagomez. LPA toured the facility, and a census was taken. The purpose of today's inspection was regarding an Unusual Incident that was self reported to the Fresno Childcare Regional Office, the incident occurred on 01/30/2026 and it pertained to a lack of supervision. During today’s visit LPAs conducted facility observations, interviewed staff, and reviewed facility records pertinent to the incident. Based on records reviewed LPAs determined that the child was left unsupervised for approximately up to a minute when classrooms were transitioning. LPAs spoke to Director Villagomez and reminded the facility to always have visual supervision of children whether they are outside or inside the classroom. Director Villagomez stated that the facility will conduct a supervision training with all staff and will implement sweeps during transition periods. The training will cover topics such as the importance of child supervision, always keeping count of children, and communicating with other teachers present when taking children outdoors and indoors. During today's inspection LPA Herrera observed that the facility practiced proper supervision of children inside and outside the classroom. LPAs observed face to name logs being implemented. Furthermore, it was an isolated incident and staff took appropriate measures to address the incident, following appropriate policies, regulations, and reporting requirements. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Tribecca Villagomez. Appeal rights were provided. Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, there are no deficiencies cited during today’s inspection. This report shall be made available to the public upon request.
