Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 9/08/23, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Julie Baptista and Aurelio Mendoza conducted an unannounced case management inspection to review areas of the family child care home that has been remodeled. During the annual inspection on 2/23/23 it was revealed that licensee was remodeling the kitchen and living room. There was plastic covering the doorway to the area where licensee was watching children. Licensee had notified Fresno Regional Office at the end of May 2023 of completed construction and submitted a new facility sketch. Fresno RO then requested a fire clearance as facility is a large capacity family child care home. Fresno Regional Office received fire clearance approved by Fresno Fire Department on 8/07/2023. During today\342\200\231s inspection LPAs toured the facility and reviewed the newly remodeled areas. LPA verified with licensee that day care children have access to the family room, bathroom, kitchen and second living room. There is also an outdoor play area on the west side of the house. All other areas of the home are made inaccessible by door knob spinners, gates and door locks, and fences on the outside areas. During today\342\200\231s inspection licensee provided documentation of the licensed contractor\342\200\231s information that was used during the remodel. Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the facility representative Jacoba Andraca. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
