What the inspector wrote

On 04/19/2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rene Mancinas conducted a Case Management inspection in regard to increasing capacity. LPA met with Licensee, Reyna Torres De Castro. The home has been given fire clearance by the Fire Department with jurisdiction to the facility and has forwarded documentation to CCL. Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday: 05: 00am to 05: 00pm, and as arranged. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) are not currently being provided. Licensee is aware that an IMS plan is required to be submitted to the licensing office if they provide any of these services. The following information regarding ADA was provided: US Department of Justice (USDOJ) toll-free ADA Information Line at (800) 514-0301 (voice)/ (800) 514-0383 (TTY) and link to publication: Commonly Asked Questions about Child Care Centers and the ADA, available at: http://www.ada.gov/childqanda.htm LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed applicants of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. (Continued on 809-C) Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regularly sends information to licensed facilities, providers, and stakeholders by way of Provider Information Notices (PIN), Program Quarterly Update Newsletters and other important information communication platform. LPA reviewed with applicant the LIC 311D, Forms/Records To Keep In Your Family Child Care Homes, children\342\200\231s forms/records, facility forms/records, and information to be posted. The home, grounds and equipment meet Chapter 3, Division 12, Title 22 of California Code of Regulations and adequate for a Large Family Child Care Home. Licensure as a Large Family Child Care Home capacity of 14 children* ages under 18 years, will be recommended effective 04/20/2022. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Licensee.
