What the inspector wrote

On 09/16/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeovanna Yanez conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection. LPA met with Licensee, Araceli Cabrera, and explained the purpose of today\342\200\231s inspection. LPA was accompanied by Licensee, toured the home and backyard, and a census was taken. The purpose of today's inspection is to verify that the following corrections requested on 07/16/2025 were made , with regard to the in-ground swimming pool located in the backyard, and verify compliance the requirements outlined in Assembly Bill (AB) 2866. LPA observed the in-ground pool is now fully enclosed and three windows do not lead into the pool; Licensee extended the five (5) foot mesh fencing that is compliant with ASTM International Standard F2286. There are two gates that are self-latching/self-closing, swing away from the pool and locking device is located no lower than 60 inches from the bottom of the gate. The maximum vertical clearance was measured less than 2 inches . The pool alarm was also tested during the inspection and LPA observed the pool alarm functioning properly, which is compliant with ASTM International Standard F2208. Licensee stated she is currently waiting to obtain a life ring with a minimum exterior diameter of 17 inches and labeled as approved by the United States Coast Guard (USCG), and a rescue pole with a body hook and minimum fixed length of 12 feet. (CONTINUED ON 809-C) Licensee is advised the following items must be corrected and documentation be sent to Fresno CCL within the next 45 days to avoid possible withdraw. Licensee will obtain the life ring with a minimum exterior diameter of 17 inches that is approved by the USCG and a rescue pole with a body hook and minimum fixed length of 12 feet. Pending verification of corrections of the above items and a final review of her application, licensure as a Large Family Day Care Home capacity of 14 children ages under 18 years will be recommended. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee. A notice of site visit was given to licensee and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days.
