What the inspector wrote

On 09/20/2024, A second announced pre-licensing inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Jeovanna Yanez. Met with Applicant, Maria Mendez de Castro. Applicant, her husband, her two adult children, her daughter-in-law, one adult resident and five minor children reside in the home. The purpose of today's inspection is to verify that the following corrections requested were made. LPA observed the following correction during today's inspection: \302\267 Adult resident in the home was associated to the facility with eligible fingerprint clearance on 07/29/2024. \302\267 L PA inspected the garage. Applicant stated the garage will remain inaccessible to daycare children and will be kept locked during the day. LPA also inspected the off-limits fenced backyard during the inspection, due to licensee revising her facility yard sketch and making the backyard accessible to children in care. There is cement and a patio porch for shade. LPA observed patio furniture, a patio swing, and safe toys in the enclosed space. LPA observed the backyard to be free of hazards, there is a child safety gate that is sturdy and secured to multiple posts around her porch, preventing access to the rest of the backyard. Fenced backyard is approved for daycare use. The home meets the description of a safe and healthy environment for children as described in Chapter 3, Division 12, Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations and is adequate for a Small Family Day Care Home (SFDCH). Licensure as a Small Family Day Care Home capacity of 8 children will be recommended effective September 23, 2024. Planned hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:00\342\200\202am to 3:00\342\200\202pm and as arranged. No overnight care will be provided.
