What the inspector wrote

On August 2, 2023, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Nancy Her and Ruby Ocegueda conducted an announced case management inspection and met with Family/Community Services Liaison Shawna Wilbourn. LPAs explained the reason of the inspection and a tour of the center was conducted both inside and outside. On May 04, 2023, the following was requested to be corrected before licensure: \302\267 Water dispenser installed with cup dispensers \302\267 Toys, play structure, shade structure, cement track for the outside play yard will be installed. \302\267 Rocks, holes, uneven ground, and other hazardous items in the play yard will need to be made safe for children. \302\267 The storage cabinets in front of the kitchen/office needs to be anchored. \302\267 In girls bathroom, the changing table needs a changing pad. \302\267 In the boys bathroom, a changing table will need to be installed with a changing pad. \302\267 Both bathrooms will need to have storage shelving units installed. \302\267 Classroom B\342\200\231s entrance door has rust. The wall outside classroom A has rust. Rust will need to be taken care of. \302\267 Ceiling tiles that are chipped, lifted, or has water stains will need to replaced/fixed. \302\267 The outdoor passageway from classroom to playground is going to be constructed into a cement walkway. \302\267 The bolts on the fencing will need to be shaved and made smooth. \302\267 The space under the fence door that leads out to an open space measures 7 inches. The entrance to the playground from the classroom measures 9 inches. It will need to be reduced. \302\267 Sheets for the cots, pillows, and blankets will need to be available. \302\267 An igloo with cup dispenser will be made available to provide water outdoors. \302\267 The rugs in the classrooms have curled edges that are a tripping hazard. They will need to be secured to the floor. During today's inspection, LPAs observed that the above items were corrected. A playground structure was installed. The shade structure is on order and will be secured to the playground structure upon arrival. There is a temporary shade structure that is anchored to the ground. Licensee installed safe surface turf to cushion fall zones. A recommendation will be made to license the above facility for the requested capacity of 16 preschool children ages 2-6. Exit interview was conducted with Facility Representative Shawna Wilbourn.
