Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 08/20/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Nancy Her conducted an announced follow up Pre-Licensing inspection. Upon arrival, LPA met with Applicant Jessica Bergen. The purpose of this inspection is to follow up on corrections from the 07/23/2025 pre-licensing inspection and measure the infant indoor activity space. During today\342\200\231s inspection, LPA measured the infant indoor activity space. Total infant indoor activity space measured 253 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested overall capacity of 4 infant children. On 07/23/2025 the following corrections were needed prior to the issuance of the license: \302\267 In the infant room, there needed to be a barrier that separated the sleeping area from the indoor activity space that is at least four feet high, made of sound absorbing material and allows for supervision of napping children. \302\267 A potty chair needed to be ordered for the infant classroom. \302\267 The preschool bathroom has two doors. One door needed to be made inaccessible for others to open while a child is using the bathroom. \302\267 The partition separating the preschool area and the church area needed to be moved for access to the preschool bathroom. \302\267 In the infant outdoor area, the trampoline needed to be removed. \302\267 There is algae/mold on the wood fence that needed to be removed. \302\267 There is a wooden lock box that needed to be shaved down. \302\267 The fence that separated the preschool from the infant yard is warped and needs to be fixed. \302\267 In the preschool outdoor area, the climber needed a new manufacturers age label. \302\267 The swings, bench, and shed are rusted and needed to be painted. \302\267 There is a wooden sign that is leaning on the shed that needed to be placed. During today's inspection, LPA observed that these items were corrected. The partition that separates the crib area from the physical activity area is four feet high and made of sound absorbing material. There is now a potty chair available in the infant room. Applicant has secured the second preschool bathroom door and moved the partition that separates the preschool from the church. The infant outdoor area has been cleaned of all algae, the trampoline has been moved, the wooden lock box has been sanded down and painted, and the fence is in good condition. The preschool area climber is labeled for children ages 2 years to 12 years. Everything has been painted and all the rust has been removed. The wooden sign is installed and applicant will be using it as an activity board for the children. A license for 4 infant children and 6 preschool children will be granted upon final file review. Exit interview was conducted with Applicant Jessica Bergen.
