What the inspector wrote

A prelicensing inspection was conducted today at 9:45am The inspection was made in response to the licensee's request for a change of location. LPA met with licensee Jazmin Holmes-Ochoa. The licensee is requesting a license for a capacity of 14. A fire inspection was conducted and approved on 4/10/2025. The facility will operate Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. The residence is a 3 bedroom/2 bath single story home. There are 2 adults and 2 minors currently living in the home. The home and yard were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The following areas will be off limits to children: 3 bedrooms including the master bathroom, and laundry room. These areas have been made inaccessible by means of locks, doorknob covers and a baby gate. The garage has been converted into the children's day care space. Poisons are locked in a shed located in an off limits area in the backyard. The home is equipped with a working smoke detector and fire extinguisher rated at least 2A10BC. The children will use a fenced off area in the backyard as the outdoor play area. The backyard is completely fenced. There is an in ground pool on the property which is fenced in by a 5' wrought iron fence and wood fence. The gate swings away from the pool and self-latches. The pool alarm was tested and meets ASTM International Standard F2208. The exterior of the life ring measured 19" in diameter. The fixed rescue pole measured 16.5' in length. The licensee owns the home. During today's inspection LPA reviewed a mortgage bill providing proof of control of property. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with licensee Jazmin Holmes-Ochoa. The following items need to be completed prior to the granting of license: 1. Final application review. 2. Manager review of the pool fencing. 3. Proof of self-closing, self-latching, key lockable device placed no lower than 60 inches from the ground.
