Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

An unannounced complaint investigation inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Lynch to close the investigation regarding the allegation of the licensee hit a day-care child; specifically that a child (C1) said the licensee hit her. No rough handling was observed by the LPA's during the inspections on 06/03/22 or 10/13/22. During today's inspection the licensee, Cranisha Craver, denied the allegation. Five witnesses were interviewed including three children, one staff, and three parents. All witnesses either denied or said or indicated they had no knowledge of any children being treated roughly. There was no corroborating information therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated. A facility roster and staff contact information was provided by the licensee. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred, and the findings are unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted. The Notice of Site Visit must be posted for 30 days.
