A prelicensing inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), J. Snow. LPA met with facility representative Irisa Cristino. Applicant is requesting to have preschool children and the back building added to the license. Applicant applied to be licensed for # 32 children including 12 preschool, between 2& 5 years in room #1 and 10 toddlers, age 18-36 months in room #2 in the front building & 10 infants, age 0-24 months in room 3&4 in the back building. Hours of operation will be Monday -Friday, 7:45am-5:15pm. Facility uses entire property. The indoor and outdoor activity spaces were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The following areas will be off limits to children: with no appliances. There is a kitchen to store meals. There is a nap room for infants to sleep with 5 cribs. The isolation area for sick children will be located in the soft area. The changing table is located near the sink in the back building. The outdoor play area is fully fenced. There is no play structure. There is no pool, spa, pond, fountain, or any other body of water on the premises. There is safe and age appropriate furniture, toys, and play equipment available for children. A capacity worksheet was completed during the visit. The inside, room square footage measured 1,272 square feet. Children have access to at least 2 toilets & sinks. The outside, yard square footage measured 4,910 square feet. Based on above, sufficient for the requested inside and outside capacity. Continued The following items need to be completed prior to the granting the license within 30 days: Signage in the bathroom to identify the toddler/preschool toilets- send photo Install a splash guard on the diapering sink - send photo An updated fire clearance will be ordered- follow up if necessary Send an updated waiver request- up to 30 days to process once received Criminal Record Clearance - Child Care Centers: Irisa Cristino was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. APPLICANT KNOWS PROSPECTIVE CLIENTS WILL NEED IMS: This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS. For IMS information, see PIN 22-02-CCP.
