Pre-licensing visit·October 9, 2025

A prelicensing inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), J. Snow & K. Lynch. LPA met with facility representative Marci Williams for a change of ownership. Applicant is requesting to be licensed for # 72 children Capacity was adjusted to 62 (during the inspection due to sq footage). Hours of operation will be Monday -Friday, 6:45 am to 5:30 pm. The facility is in a strip mall with a hair salon. 125401041 LITTLE PEOPLE'S CORNER PRESCHOOL/DAYCARE & 125401042 LITTLE PEOPLE'S CORNER PRESCHOOL/DAYCARE will be closed once this facility is licensed. The indoor and outdoor activity spaces were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. No areas will be off limits to children. There is a kitchen with an oven that is used for projects. Children will nap on mats in the classroom. The isolation area for sick children will be located in the office. The changing table is located in the bathroom. The 2 outdoor play areas are fully fenced. There is a play structure with slide for children to play on and adequate cushioning underneath. There is no pool, spa, pond, fountain, or any other body of water on the premises. The poisons are locked in janitors closet & cabinets. There is safe and age appropriate furniture, toys, and play equipment available for children. A capacity worksheet was completed during the visit. The inside, room square footage measured 2,177. Children have access to at least 7 toilets & 5 sinks. The outside, yard square footage measured 6,643. Based on above, sufficient for the requested capacity which was NOT sufficient requiring a reduction in the requested capacity during todays inspection. If the facility has had a lead test completed within the last five years from the pre-licensing visit date (10/9/25) and is using the same outlets, you may submit a waiver request from the lead testing requirement to the Regional Office. Criminal Record Clearance - Child Care Centers: Marci Williams was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. APPLICANT WILL WAIT UNTIL FACILITY OPENS TO DETERMINE IMS NEEDS: Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP.
