Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 1/17/2025 at 12:15 p.m. Licensing Program Analysts (LPA\342\200\231s), Adrian Castellon and Jacqueline Macias conducted a case management inspection. LPAs met with Director Elizabeth Veliz and advised of the purpose of the inspection and conducted a tour of the facility. There were 54 children present during the inspection. During the course of a facility inspection conducted on the same date, LPAs became aware that the facility commingles children from the preschool license and the school age license. Staff admitted that children are commingled one hour at opening and one hour at closing on a daily basis. LPAs informed director that this was not permitted and that a waiver for commingling must be submitted to the SDCCRO for approval. Facility does not have a waiver. A Technical Violation was issued on this date. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
