On 4/29/2026 at 12:45 pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Danielle Anderson conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection and met with Licensee Guadalupe Mora. LPA Anderson disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. There were six children present and one helper in the facility during this inspection. The licensee accompanied LPA inside and out of the facility. Per the licensee the operating hours are Monday through Saturday twenty four hours a day. Licensee was reminded that care for any one child shall not exceed twenty three hours at one time. Interpretation was provided by Spanish interpreter #38838375. The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met the requirements. All hazardous items were inaccessible to children. The off-limits areas are inaccessible using door locks and a safety gate. The licensee has toys, play equipment, and materials available. The licensee uses the fully enclosed backyard for outdoor play. No bodies of water were observed on the premises during the inspection. Licensee states there are no weapons or firearms in the home. The stairs in the home were barricaded. Licensee stated they do provide transportation for children. The licensee left and returned during the inspection to pick up children from school. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certifications expire in 3/2027. The licensee has required immunizations. Licensee completed Mandated Reporter Training on 06/05/2024. The facility roster is maintained and was reviewed. LPA reviewed children’s and helper's files. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented on 04/06/2026. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. There is an infant enrolled to the facility. There was an LIC 9224 and completed sleep log for the infant in care. LPA Anderson discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. There is one crib or play yard for each infant who is unable to climb out of the crib or play yard. Cribs or play yards are free from all loose articles and objects. The licensee physically checks on sleeping infants every 15 minutes; and shall document. An Individual Infant Sleeping Plan [LIC 9227 (3/20)] shall be completed for each infant up to 12 months of age and shall be available to the Department for review. The licensee places infants up to 12 months of age on their backs for sleeping. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. LPA discussed the following: Reporting Covid positive, suspected child abuse & neglect, maintaining children’s records according to regulation, and post required forms. The licensee was reminded corporal punishment, smoking, exersaucers, bouncy seats, walkers, jumpers, and/or similar equipment are not allowed in daycare. During the exit interview, the licensee, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. LPA provided the California Megan's Law website: www.meganslaw.ca.gov . LPA provided a Spanish copy of LIC 126 and reviewed the information with the licensee. There were no deficiencies cited at the time of inspection. An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with the licensee Guadalupe Mora. The licensee was provided with a copy of their appeal rights (LIC 9058 03/22) and their signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
