On April 29, 2026, at 11:31 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Vicky Williamson conducted an unannounced Annual Random inspection. LPA met with Licensee Kimberly Gonzalez and discussed the purpose of the inspection. Also present is licensee’s spouse Robert Gonzalez and licensee's assistant Susan Sifuentes. There were 12 children present, three of whom are infants and two of whom are licensee's own children. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM. This facility is a two story, four (4) bedrooms, four (4) bathroom home. LPA accompanied by licensee toured the indoor and outdoor of the home. The following areas are used for child care: located downstairs is the living room (play room), kitchen, dining room, bedrooms #2, bathroom #2, office, front yard and the fenced backyard (grass play area). Off limits areas are the pantry, bedroom #1, bathroom #1 (inside of master bedroom), and laundry room/pantry all located downstairs, detached garage, fenced dog area in the backyard, fully fenced swimming pool, bathroom #4 (located inside of pool gate), fenced area next to swimming pool that leads directly from bedroom #1, storage room, entire upstairs which includes bedroom #3, bedroom #4 and bathroom #3. The off-limit areas are inaccessible to children by use of safety gates, door locks, doorknob covers, and fencing. Licensee states that a portion of the backyard is used for outdoor activities for children. The licensee is reminded that children should always be supervised during outdoor activities. The stairs in the home are secure with a safety gate at the top and bottom of the stairs. LPA advised the licensee that prior to making alterations or additions to the home or grounds, the Licensee shall notify the Department of the proposed change. See LIC 9099C Continuation... Licensee stated there is a firearm, on the premises and there is no ammunition stored in the home. LPA observed a firearm that is secured and stored properly. Licensee stated there is an in-ground swimming pool on the premises. LPA observed an in-ground swimming pool, that is enclosed by 5 feet high fencing with an entrance gate that swings away from the pool, is self-closing, self-latching and has a key lockable device. LPA observed one pool alarm that is operational, a life ring and rescue pole with a body hook that meets pool safety requirements. LPA reviewed the daily safety inspection log and it is being maintained. The fire extinguisher, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors meet requirements and are operational. All poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and other hazardous items in the home are made inaccessible to children through latches, locks, and/or placed on high surfaces. Licensee has children's toys, play equipment and books available. Licensee has a working cell phone. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification for licensee is valid March 2027 and for assistant is valid through August 2027. The licensee and assistant have required immunization records on file. Mandated Reporter training certification for licensee is valid through September 9, 2026 and for assistant December 4, 2027. LPA informed licensee to ensure the mandated reporter training is completed once every two years. LPA observed the required documents posted. A sample of children’s files were reviewed and were determined to be complete. Individual Sleeping Plan and documentation of 15 -minute sleep checks are being maintained. The last fire drill was conducted and documented on October 16, 2025. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP . When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for and removing any recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Licensee is reminded that corporal punishment, smoking, exersaucers, bouncy seats, walkers, and jumpers and/or similar equipment are not allowed in daycare. During the exit interview, the Licensee Kimberly Gonzalez, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.
