What the inspector wrote

On February 11, 2026 at 3:40 p.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Angela Nguyen conducted a case management for the purpose of issuing citations observed during the complaint investigation received on 02/05/2026. LPA met with Licensee, Sandra Cabrera and was granted entry into the facility. During the inspection, Karely Lopez and 2 day care children were present. One of those children was an infant. At 1:30PM one infant and helper arrived and at 2:30 four day care children arrived. During the inspection of the home, LPA observed blankets and pillows in the play yard located in the kitchen and two located in bedroom #1 and baby rocker in the living room. Licensee immediately removed the blankets and pillows from the play yards and stated that she will return the baby rocker to the parent's at pick up. LPA reviewed safe sleep regulations with licensee. Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, (1) Type A and (1) Type B deficiencies are being cited on the attached LIC 809D. Type A deficiency which shall be posted for 30 consecutive days as there is immediate risk to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care. LPA informed the licensee to provide a copy of this licensing report dated 02/11/2026 that documents any Type A deficiency to parents/guardians of all children currently enrolled by the next business day or the next day the children are in care, and to any newly enrolled parents/guardians for 12 months from the date of this report. A signed Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report (LIC 9224), or other written statement, must be placed in the child's file for verification. A Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) and appeal rights (LIC 9058) was given to the licensee, Sandra Cabrera. An exit interview was conducted and the report was reviewed with licensee, Sandra Cabrera.
