What the inspector wrote

On 8/29/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPAs) Ali met with Program Director Michelle Armstrong to conduct an unannounced case management inspection. The purpose of the case management is to inspection the renovated playground area. Upon arrival, LPA observed 13 preschool children and 5 staff member providing care. LPA was granted access to facility by Michelle. LPA toured the renovated playground area and took pictures. The renovated playground area has a large play arched equipment that has 3 slides. The large play equipment is not shaded. The cover to provide shade has been ordered with school maintenance. Program Director stated that item is on back order. There is a shaded area next to the new play equipment for children to use. Program Director stated that she will inform LPA once the covered has been received. There are two polls (over 6ft) that will be assembled as the new swing set. This is still under construction. The two polls are located on the left side of the play yard away from other main toys and play equipment. Staff will ensure 100% supervision in the play yard areas. Staff inspects the entire play yard in the morning and afternoon daily for any debris to ensure safety of children. LPA observed the new large slide play equipment to be safe and ready for use by the children. The two polls (swing set area) are to remain inaccessible to children until LPA has inspected it. Program Director will inform LPA when the swing set is complete and ready for inspection. LPA has approved the renovated playground area for use of the large slide play equipment structure. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted with Michelle Armstrong, Program Director.
