What the inspector wrote

On 05/09/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christopher Burnias conducted an unannounced inspection at the facility for the purpose of reviewing a Plan of Correction (POC). LPA met with Licensee Maria Picos De Garcia. LPA toured the home and a census was taken. LPA observed that Licensee corrected all items addressed from inspection conducted on 04/17/2025. Upon inspection inside the home, LPA observed that the day care room was clean, tidy, excess items removed, and toys organized. LPA observed restroom drawers and cabinets cleaned and cleared of all items, restroom floor boards have been repaired and repainted. LPA observed that the restroom tub/shower has been cleaned and cleared of all items. LPA observed that the restroom floors, sink, and toilet have been cleaned. Upon inspection of the outdoor area, LPA observed the patio to be clean, plants have been organized and children's picnic table has been cleaned and cleared for accessible use by children. LPA observed that sun damaged toys have been removed from the backyard. LPA observed that the wooden play structure has been cleaned, cleared of broken toys and cobwebs, and resurfaced with a new coat of varnish and paint. LPA observed that the in-water pool alarm functions properly and Licensee demonstrated the functionality of the alarm by testing it during the inspection. After inspection of the accessible areas inside and outside, LPA determined there were no hazards present and License has meet requirements to satisfy the Plan of Correction. Deficiencies have been cleared today. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with licensee Maria Picos De Garcia. Appeal rights were provided. Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3 of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited. Licensee was provided appeal rights. This report shall be made available to the public upon request. LIC 9213 Notice of Site Visit is provided and required to be posted for 30 days.
