What the inspector wrote

A second announced Case Management- Licensee Initiated inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analysts (LPA), Norma Lomeli. Met with Licensee, Ana Cisneros who was caring for five children who were napping in the day care room on their cots. Licensee, her husband and her adult son reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. The purpose of today's inspection is to inspect the following corrections were made. Effective 01/01/2025, all childcare facilities licensed by CCL by law will be required to adhere to AB2866 - The Pool Safety Act. According to Health & Safety Code 1596.814, additional safety features will be required. Licensee will adhere to the AB2866 - The Pool Safety Act. Applicant will obtain the additional requirements as listed. Licensee installed a key lockable device to the pool gate. Licensee obtained a life ring diameter of 20 inches, approved by the US Coast Guard. LPA observed the life ring mounted onto the wall located in the fence pool area. Licensee obtained a rescue pole with a body hook and it is at a fixed length of 12 feet. LPA observed the rescue pole mounted onto the wall in the pool area. (Continued on LIC809-C): Licensee obtained an alarm that is placed in the swimming pool and sounds upon detecting an entrance into the water, alarm meets ASTM International Standard F2208. Licensee tested alarm with LPA during today's inspection. Licensure as a Large Family Day Care Home capacity of 14 children will be recommended effective 4/9/2025. * Planned hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM and as arranged. Overnight care will not be provided. Licensee advised she does not provide care for more than 24 hours. Licensee is advised she may access forms and updated information on the CCLD website at www.ccld.ca.gov . During exit interview, LPA observed licensee post the Notice of Site Visit on parent’s board and understands it must remain posted for 30 days and retain evaluation report for 3 years.
