What the inspector wrote

On 4/29/2026 an unannounced case management – licensee initiated inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Valentin Hernandez and Xona Xayavong. LPAs met with licensee Maria Guzman. Licensee's adult son was also present. LPAs toured the facility indoor and outdoor, and a census was taken. The purpose of today’s visit was to inspect bedroom #4 that was modified by removing the closet and adding an additional entry and is an additional room that Licensee would like to add to the LIC999A Facility Sketch Floor Plan. LPA obtained a copy of the updated facility sketch floor plan. Licensee provided LPA with City of Delano-Community Development Department, Permit# BP2026-005 that was issued on 3/02/2026. Fire clearance was granted on 4/22/2026. On today’s visit, LPAs observed bedroom #4. The room is free of hazards. Licensee stated that she will be moving the following items from the living room into bedroom # 4: changing table, bookshelves containing toys and books, a children’s cubby, 1 children table that sits 6, another children table that sits 4, kitchenette dramatic play structure, 1 and play yard. As of 4/29/2026, bedroom #4 is approved by the Department to be used for children in care. Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited. An exit interview was conducted with licensee Maria Guzman. A copy of this report was provided to the licensee and was reviewed. This report shall be made available to the public upon request. The LIC 9213 Notice of Site Visit form is required to be posted for 30 days.
