What the inspector wrote

On 4/21/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jose Ruiz and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Scott Herring conducted an unannounced case management - incident inspection. LPA met with Licensee, Veronica Maldonado and a census was taken. LPA toured the inside and outside areas of the home. The purpose of the inspection was to follow up on the unusual incident report received by the Fresno Regional Office on 04/152026. On 4/15/2026, infant suffered a seizure while in the hands of licensee’s assistant. Assistant called 911, licensee, and infant’s mother. The infant was taken to the hospital by ambulance, where he was treated. The infant returned to the facility on 04/20/2026 and is currently in good health. During today’s inspection, LPA conducted record reviews and interviewed Licensee. Interviews and records revealed that Licensee’s unusual incident report was a submitted timely, records are complete and appropriate actions were taken during the incident. Based on interviews, LPA determined there was no immediate nor potential risk to the personal rights, health, and safety of the child or other children in care. An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with Licensee, Maria Rodas. Appeal rights were provided. Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3 of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiency are being cited.
