What the inspector wrote

On 12/27/23 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Beneroso conducted an unannounced Plan of Correction (POC) inspection and met with Licensee, Aida Rivas. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. There were 8 children child care child were present in the facility during this inspection and 2 adults providing care and supervision During this inspection, LPA and Licensee Rivas completed a tour of the family child care and observed the following: 1. The in ground pool is surrounded by a 5\342\200\231 iron fence that is mounted on concrete and chain linked fence that gives access from the front yard (off-limits). The rest of the pool is blocked by a storage unit/garage. The bottom of the fence is no more than 4\342\200\235 from the concrete. The bars of the fence are no more than 4\342\200\235 apart.\302\240The gate swings away from the pool and is equipped with a self-closing, self-latching mechanism that is not more than 6\342\200\235 from the top of the gate.\302\240The self-latching, self-locking mechanism was observed to be faulty after being tested a few times. Per licensee, chain link fence in secondary access point from the front yard(off-limits) will have a mesh installed for additional protection. Based on LPAs observation citations issued on November 8, 2023 have not yet been corrected. Licensee agrees to make backyard inaccessible and to have these issues fixed no later than A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee Aida Rivas
