Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On June 4, 2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Paul Garcia conducted an unannounced, licensee initiated Case Management inspection. Upon arrival, LPA met with licensee Ana Gautierrez. A census was taken, and LPA toured both the interior and exterior areas of the facility. The purpose of this visit was to complete an additional inspection to determine whether the newly constructed garage conversion is suitable for the care and supervision of children. The converted garage was observed to be fully enclosed, with finished walls and three functional exits. The space is equipped with heating and cooling through a split system air conditioning unit, and a ceiling fan provides supplemental ventilation. The flooring consists of new, clean laminate, contributing to a safe and comfortable environment. LPA observed a standalone hot water heater that is properly double strapped to prevent tipping and adequately ventilated. The unit is fully enclosed and made inaccessible to children through a child safety door spinner, eliminating potential entry. The garage area was furnished with area rugs, bookshelves, dramatic play materials, tables, chairs, and a wide variety of age appropriate activity materials and toys. Lighting throughout the space was observed to be adequate for child care activities. Based on today’s inspection, LPA approves the converted garage for use in the care and supervision of children, effective immediately. Per Chapter 3, Division 12, Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations no deficiencies are observed today. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
