What the inspector wrote

A second announced pre-licensing inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli. Met with Applicant, Danyuell Hicks and six minor children reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance or exemption. Fire clearance was granted on 1/17/2025. The purpose of today's inspection is to inspect the following corrections were made. Applicant updated Preventative Health and Safety certification on 3/25/2025. Applicant stored all poisons under key lock inside a storage cabinet located in the inaccessible laundry room. Applicant obtained a life rescue pole with a body hook fixed length of 12 feet, mounted inside the pool area. Applicant installed a life ring diameter of 20 inches, approved by the US Coast Guard. Applicant installed an alarm that is placed in the swimming pool and will sound upon detecting an entrance into the water, must meet ASTM International Standard F2208. Licensure as a Large Family Day Care Home capacity of 14 children will be recommended effective 4/9/2025. * Planned hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
