On 06/06/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Andrew Alemoh met with the facility Director Viven Firta, and Reverend Christopher Montella to conclude the unusual incident that was received by the Palmdale Regional Office on 05/21/24 and occurred on 05/21/24. The incident was investigated by the Investigation Bureau (IB) Investigator, Edward Hector. LPA toured the facility and observed 0 children present. The school year has ended at the facility. On 05/21/24 the facility director reported an Unusual Incident concerning a parent who disclosed Staff #1 having inappropriate contact with Child #1 and other children. The unusual incident follow-up consisted of interviews with staff, children, and other relevant parties including the review of the facility surveillance video recording. The interviews did not reveal any inappropriate contact from Staff #1 towards Child #1, and other children. The parents and staff statements corroborated in that Staff #1 is not present alone around the children. A review of the facility surveillance showed children singing and smiling along with two staff members. Interviews with all relevant parties denied that Staff #1 and facility representatives have not had any history of being left alone with the day care children. No violation of the California Title 22 Regulations has been found during the unusual incident follow-up concerning Staff #1 inappropriate contact with Child #1 and other children. The facility is encouraged to continue to report Unusual Incidents to the Department. A copy of this report was provided to the Director along with the notice of the site visit and appeal rights. An exit interview was conducted with the licensee and a copy of this report was provided along with the appeal rights.
