What the inspector wrote

On September 3, 2021 at 11:30 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Laura Villanueva conducted an unannounced inspection to conduct a required 1 year annual inspection. Prior to inspection, LPA Villanueva asked pre screening questions related to COVID 19, Director's response indicates there are no COVID 19 exposures on site. LPA toured the 5 classrooms and enclosed yard with Director, Julie-Ann Bruskrud. There were 75 children with 13 staff present. The Preschool follows the Las Virgines School District calendar. The First day of instruction was on August 30, 2021. Today is the 5th day of instruction. There are 2 daily sessions, one is from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the second is from 8:45 AM to 12:30 PM. The preschool is open Monday through Friday. Children are dropped off and picked up at designated gates. The Teachers wait for the children at the gate while parents drive up with the children. Each child is electronically signed in and out daily. Parents complete COVID-19 related questions and children have their temperature checked prior to drop off. The classrooms were clean with age appropriate furniture and equipment. A smoke and carbon monoxide detector was present in each room. Children bring their own snacks, lunch, and water bottle daily. The children take their water bottles outdoors wile they are in the outdoor classroom. The restrooms were in sanitary conditions. The outdoor area is in safe condition and in good repair. The child and staff records were found complete with required documentation. All staff have completed Mandated Reporter Training. CPR/First Aid was completed by all staff on 8/27/21. Continued on LIC809C The center is not currently providing Incidental Medical Services. Incidental Medial Services (IMS). The center provides IMS but currently does not have any children with medication. For additional IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Director may access Community Care Licensing at www.ccld.ca.gov for updates. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was given to Director. No deficiencies cited today. THE NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WILL BE POSTED AS REQUIRED BY H&S CODE SEC. 1596.817. THE NOTICE OF SITE VISIT MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS OR A CIVIL PENALTY OF $100.00 WILL APPLY.
