What the inspector wrote

On June 7 2024 at 11:20 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Aaliyah Zendejas conducted an unannounced required 3 year inspection. LPA met with program director, Katherine Oberman (S1) and announced the purpose of the inspection. S1 provided LPA with a tour of the interior and exterior of the facility. At the time of inspection there were no children in care. There are 2 rooms that are used for care. LPA checked carbon monoxide alarm at 11:30 AM and was found to be in working condition. LPA observed required licensing documents mounted on the walls before entering facility. Last fire drill was conducted on May 9, 2024. The classroom had age-appropriate toys and furniture readily accessible for children in care. LPA ob s erved children's restrooms not directly connected to the building but a short walking distance away. LPA did not observe any hazards/toxins items accessible to children. A First Aid cupboard was locked with medication for children in need of IMS services as well as a first aid bag located in the other room of the center. Facility provides a snack for the children in care. The outdoor yard has shade for children in care and has an ample amount of space for children to play. A sampling of children and staff records were reviewed. LPA reviewed 5 children's files and observed children's files to be complete and current. LPA observed staff files to be complete and current. Staff present has current CPR with an expiration date of 2/18/2025 . All Staff present have current mandated reporter training certification. LPA verified SB792 Child Care Adult Immunization and Tuberculosis requirements for all staff. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPA reviewed storage of \342\200\234medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s, personnel, and administrative records. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP.
