What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Thelma Razo conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 9/14/2023 at 12:38 PM. LPA met with Director Allegra Inganni and stated the purpose of the visit. LPA provided a copy of the Entrance Checklist for Child Care Centers form (LIC 125). Director guided LPA on a tour of the facility. This is a School Age program which consists of 1 large classroom. This is a PM session which runs from 12 PM - 6:00 PM . This is a combination program with a Preschool LIC#191203783 and a infant program LIC#191223838. All areas identified on the Facility Sketch were inspected. There were 2 staff with 5 school age children. Facility is within ratio and capacity. Children were under visual supervision of a teacher at the time of the inspection. LPA observed the facility to be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair. Furniture and equipment were inspected for good repair, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Snack menus were reviewed to ensure that they are being posted at least one week in advance and visible to an authorized representative. The facility will provide PM Page 1 of 3 snack. All kitchen, food preparation, and storage areas are clean, free of litter, rubbish, and rodents/vermin. Drinking water is provided through bottled water and filtered tap water. All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins, have tight fitting covers on and are in good repair. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to children are stored in an area inaccessible to children. Facility has a functioning carbon monoxide detector that meet statutory requirements. The facility free of flies, other insects and rodents. Outdoor play equipment was observed to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. LPA did not observe any bodies of water during this inspection. Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. For childcare center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1-CCP). The result on 1/20/23 has indicated that the facility passed the lead test. Children's roster was reviewed and is current. Sign-In and Sign-Out sheets were reviewed. Children present were signed in. Random sample of children's records were reviewed. Disaster drill log was available, last drill was conducted on 04/20/2023. Page 2 of 3 There is at least one person trained in CPR and Pediatric First Aid present during this inspection. LPA also reviewed staff records. The review of Staff records was documented on the LIC 859. Staff present had proof of the AB 1207 Mandated Reporter Training certificate on file. Staff present had proof against TB, measles, pertussis, and influenza. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s, personnel, and administrative records. The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) \342\200\223 must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative.
