What the inspector wrote

On 07/17/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Stephanie Li conducted an annual continuation visit for Jefferson Children’s Center at Pasadena Child Development Center on the Webster elementary school campus. The purpose of this inspection is to review staff files as they are stored at the child development office site. LPA met with Program coordinator Jefferson Sankary, who provided LPA with the staff files who were present during the annual inspection. All staff have received an active criminal record clearance as a condition of their employment with the Pasadena Unified School District. Staff records were reviewed for completeness. Inspection of required forms were made. LPA issued the Review of Staff Records (LIC 859) to the facility during this inspection. Staff records are still in the process of being moved over from HR after the Eaton fires. HR has health screening records for all personnel. Child development coordinators are in the process of obtaining copies to maintain in staff records. All staff have completed EDU mandated reporter training provided by Pasadena Unified School district. Per coordinator, their training is compliant with AB1432 operating on school campuses. LPA advised that certificate with vendor should state on certiifcate that AB1432 mandated reporter training was met. Per coordinator, he will connect with vendor to inquire about updating language on future certificates. At this time, the facility is in compliance with California Code of Regulations Title 22. No deficiencies are being cited at this time. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Program Coordinator Jefferson Sankary.
