What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Seung Lee conducted an unannounced required inspection. Upon arrival LPA Lee met with Director Monica Echaury-Valdez LPA Lee observed a total of 3 teachers with 10 children total. This preschool program currently consists of 1 classroom. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7:30AM-06:00PM. LPA toured the areas used by the facility. The facility consists of 2 classrooms with a shared restroom in between, a kitchenette with adult restroom, director's office, and playground adjacent to the classrooms. The two classrooms are separated by age. Classroom P3 is for 3 year old children while P4 is for 4 year old children in care. Each classroom was inspected. Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated. Children have their own cubby and hook to store their belongings. The children\342\200\231s restroom was observed to be clean and in good condition, with sufficient supplies for children to use. Menu for snacks and lunch was observed. This facility serves AM and PM snack which is prepared in the facility. Lunch can be purchased from the facility or be brought from home. The snack is prepared in the kitchen attached to classroom P3. All trash cans were observed to have lids. LPA inspected the children\342\200\231s outdoor playground. The playground was inspected for safety, cushioning material, good repair and age appropriateness. LPA observed there to be shade and adequate fencing. Drinking water is available in form of children's personal water bottles that are brought out during outdoor activity time. During the inspection LPA Lee reviewed children and staff records. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. The notice of site inspection must remain posted for a period of 30 days during hours of operation. Failure to maintain posting will result in a civil penalty of $100.00 dollars.
